Today I’ll talk about WeChat Moments ads. They’re displayed on every user’s WeChat Moments page. The ad itself looks like a normal Moments post but with an additional “Promotion【广告】” tag in the upper right corner.

The Moments page, which is similar to Facebook’s newsfeed, is one of the most popular features on WeChat. Users can share pictures, articles and content from other platforms, as well as external links, with their WeChat friends, who can interact with the posts by liking them or commenting.
Moments ads come in 2 formats: pictures and text or video and text. The following are included in the ads:
1. The advertiser’s name and profile picture:
Users who click on the account name or profile picture in the ad are directed to the official account’s introductory page.
The text should be no more than 40 characters (maximum 4 lines). The key is to keep it simple and easy to understand.
The image area can show 1, 3, 4 or 6 images or a key frame from a video of 6 to 15 seconds in length.
There are various options for hyperlinks, which serve different purposes. The links can direct users to the official account’s WeChat articles, the details page, an application download page, a default H5 page, a customized H5 page, etc.
5. Social Components:
Users can interact with the ad by liking and commenting.
